i Instructions

  1. 1. Setup: Sit at the lat pulldown station, secure your knees under the pads, and grab the bar with a wide overhand grip. Lean back slightly, depress and retract your scapulae, and brace your core.
  2. 2. Full Rep: Pull the bar down toward your upper chest by driving your elbows down and back. Squeeze your lats hard at the bottom of the movement.
  3. 3. Half Rep (Bottom): Allow the bar to rise halfway up to the starting position (arms partially bent), then immediately pull it back down to your chest.
  4. 4. Return to Start: After completing the full and half movement, allow the bar to ascend under control to full arm extension, achieving a deep stretch in the lats.
  5. 5. Breathing and Safety: Exhale as you pull the weight down, inhale as you control the return. Avoid using momentum or swinging your torso.
