Synthetic azo dye (E 110) may trigger hypersensitivity in sensitive individuals, including urticaria, asthma, or (rarely) anaphylaxis. Not a true IgE-mediated allergy but an intolerance. Cross-reactivity with other azo dyes (e.g., tartrazine) possible.
