Cabbage

White cabbage (Brassica oleracea) may trigger IgE-mediated allergies, primarily via lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) or profilins. Symptoms include oral allergy syndrome (OAS), urticaria, or, rarely, anaphylaxis. Cross-reactivity with mustard, broccoli, or rapeseed possible. Cooking may reduce but not eliminate allergenicity.
