Tree nuts (Tigernut flour)

Tigernut (Cyperus esculentus) is botanically a tuber, not a true nut, but its flour may cross-react with tree nuts or cause independent IgE-mediated allergy via lipid transfer proteins (LTPs). Reactions are rare but can include anaphylaxis, especially in regions where tigernuts are commonly consumed.
