Citrus fruits
Oranges (Citrus sinensis) may trigger allergic reactions due to lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) or profilins, causing oral allergy syndrome (OAS) or, rarely, systemic symptoms. Cross-reactivity with birch pollen or latex-fruit syndrome is possible. Reactions range from mild itching to anaphylaxis in sensitive individuals.
