The Christmas dinner, which is the most important event in Poland during the holiday season, is fasting, which means that until midnight on December 25th, meat consumption is usually discontinued. On the Christmas table there are fish and dishes prepared using oatmeal and eggs. However, it is possible to prepare these dishes in a vegetarian version, preserving your favorite flavors. Below are the recipes for 4 vegetarian alternatives to traditional holiday dishes.
Plant-based delights for the holidays
Traditional recipes are based on honey, butter, eggs and other non-vegan products. However, as it turns out, you can make tasty and aromatic plant-based treats. Decoration: e.g. Icing sugar and lemon or plant-based drink, dissolved in a vegan chocolate bath, nuts, dried fruits and sprinkles. Preparation method Mix the dry ingredients (both types of flour, sugar, cocoa, spices, baking powder and baking soda) in a bowl and add the wet ingredients (oil and plant-based drink). Knead to a smooth, firm dough and divide into several parts. Roll out and shape to desired size and thickness (2-4 cm). Place on a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for about 7 minutes. After cooling, decorate to taste.
