Ukrainian cuisine owes its character to the influence of foreign cultures. It is also difficult to talk about a homogeneous culinary tradition, because on the territory of Ukraine there is also a strong regional division. In the Crimean peninsula there are many similarities to Romanian and Moldovan cuisine. All this is due to the rather complicated political history of the state, as well as the multicultural people living in the Ukrainian territory.
