It is an excellent source of plant protein with a beneficial amino acid profile, making it a valued component of the plant-based diet. It also contains substantial amounts of complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber, including a resistant starch that supports gut health, promotes satiety, and positively impacts carbohydrate metabolism. Bombe also delivers many vitamins, particularly from the B group (including folic acid), as well as vitamin C and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium, and manganese. It has a low fat content, with the fatty acids present mainly consisting of unsaturated fractions that exhibit health-promoting effects.
