The Easter season presents a challenge for anyone who is in the process of following a weight-loss diet, especially in the initial stages, when there's the greatest concern that consuming Easter breakfast will negatively impact the results achieved thus far. Here are 10 tips to help you avoid weight gain during the holidays.
Create a light vegetable salad
During the Easter celebrations, it is worth considering serving at least one light vegetable salad, which provides a source of fiber with low calorie content, accelerating satiety and reducing appetite. A study conducted by L.S. Roe, J.S. Meengs, B.J. Rolls on a group of 46 women found that consuming vegetable salad (300 g, about 100 kcal) before or during the main meal resulted in a reduction of calorie intake by about 10% compared to typical eating. Eating a starter of fresh vegetables increased satiety and reduced appetite. Undoubtedly, including salad, especially before the main course, can be an effective way to control the natural hunger for refills or additional snacks such as chocolate bunnies.
