Why do we like candy so much?
They say that sweet taste is addictive. It's also one of the first things that our body knows about it. We get it in infancy when we drink our mother's milk. Exposure to sweet taste continues into early childhood, when we get the taste of new products -- fruit or fruit juices. It has a huge impact on how we react to sweets. They have habits acquired in childhood. People who have eaten sweets in large quantities since early years, as adults, are more likely to reach for sweet snacks.
