The impact of dietary fatty acids on male reproductive capacity: Nutritional determinants and biological mechanisms
When examining the fundamental nutritional components critical to male reproductive health, lipids emerge as a pivotal factor—both in terms of their qualitative composition and their quantitative representation within the daily dietary intake. Extensive scientific evidence confirms that excessive consumption of saturated fatty acids and *trans*-fatty acids (commonly found in red meat, organ meats, high-fat animal-derived products, fast-food items, industrially hydrogenated margarines, sugar-laden confectionery, and sweetened bakery products) is strongly associated with diminished fertility and compromised semen quality. A landmark clinical investigation conducted by T.K.
