Cistus and its derivatives, whether or not chemically modified or reconstituted
It is a plant native to southern Europe and the Caucasus, where its wild-growing forms can still be found. It belongs to the family Cistaceae, which includes about 20 species. In Poland, it is dominated by Cistus gray (Cistus incasus). It reaches a height of up to 1 m. Its flowers, depending on the species, change colour from white to purple. Most of the active substances are found in the leaves and gills. Among them: essential oils (labdanous dieterpenes, monoterpenes), or deep phenolic acids (gallous, elagous, catalytic flavides), which are already used in the treatment of gallstones, gallstons, eucalysts, and other medicinal products.
