It also necessitates the work of muscles such as the obliques, upper torso, and arm muscles. Each movement involves various body parts. For instance, hooks and undercuts depend on the speed of the arm muscles, while straight punches rely on the triceps. The core muscles are vital for the return, and the neck and abdominals are crucial for receiving punches. Applying diverse techniques enables the modeling and strengthening of virtually every body part. Boxing significantly increases physical endurance and teaches proper breathing during physical exertion. It is an excellent way to burn fat tissue - a one-hour session can burn up to 800 calories in a person weighing 70 kilograms, which is twice as much as traditional aerobic exercises. Boxing also has a positive impact on psychomotor coordination. It increases reaction speed, improves the flow of information from the body to the brain.

Boxing imposes no age or gender limitations, yet it is crucial to consider medical warnings regarding the cardiovascular system or other diseases that exclude rigorous exercise. This sport is of a multifaceted nature, particularly recommended for individuals who find monotonous training sessions tedious. Boxing allows for the development and shaping of the entire body, hence it can serve as a foundation for a training plan. It is especially recommended for individuals who wish to lose excess weight rapidly and healthily, as well as for those who aim to boost their metabolism and decrease fat mass in the lower body. Boxing also allows for an increase in endurance, as strength training is often too static and does not promote dynamic movements. Boxing can also be recommended for individuals who encounter stress in their professional or personal lives, as it aids in releasing negative emotions and mobilizing inner energy reserves. Many specialists advocate for children to practice boxing, as it aids in enhancing concentration and behavior.
How does boxing training unfold?
Comprehensive external injuries and persistent damages should remain concealed amidst tales. Of course, boxing, like any other sport, can be harmful, but the risk of this physical activity is not significantly higher than running or dancing. The classic boxing variant excludes the use of elbows, knees, or wrists, which pose the greatest danger when practicing other martial arts such as Thai or kickboxing. Furthermore, if the training participant does not express a willingness for sparring, there is no necessity. Boxing training is highly demanding conditionally. Already after the first minutes, sweat droplets appear on the foreheads of participants. A typical session lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours. In most schools in Warsaw, trainings take place between 2 and 4 times per week. During the course, students learn techniques for strikes, evasions, and psychological tricks that prove useful during the fight. The training is supplemented with other exercises – for instance, "stations", where participants run to different points and perform specific tasks for 30 seconds: jumping on the trampoline, push-ups, squats.
The expense of boxing training - how much do we pay?
Professional equipment is not required before the first training session. However, it will later be necessary to acquire gloves (from 60 zł upwards), hand wraps (about 20 zł), and mouthguards (about 20 zł). The necessity of wearing groin protectors or helmets depends on the chosen, specific fighting system. The average cost of a monthly course with two weekly training sessions is around 120 zł.
