Elevated concentrations of hydrochloric acid in the stomach may result in persistent digestive disturbances, making it imperative to understand both preventive measures and effective symptom-relief strategies once they manifest. A cornerstone of comprehensive gastrointestinal disorder management remains a rationally designed diet tailored to the patient’s specific physiological requirements.

My stomach is too acidic

The stomach is covered with a thick layer of mucus that protects against acidic activity. However, if this barrier is damaged in some way, excess stomach acid production can lead to excess acidity. Excess gastric acid, often called excess fatty acid, occurs when the excess salty acid content in the stomach juice exceeds 20 mmol HCl released within 1 hour.

Excess stomach acid is a symptom

People with acidosis most often complain of: the feeling of burning behind the bridge can radiate to the cheeks and throat vomiting nausea abdominal pain.

Excess stomach acid is the cause

There are a variety of factors that lead to over-acidity. Among the most common are improper diets. Abuse of alcohol (mainly beer and wine) causes increased secretion of stomach acid, similar to nicotine. Too often drinking strong coffee and tea significantly affects the formation of over-acidity. Also, improper combinations of food products (e.g. citrus fruits and cereal products) or dietary activities cause this type of disorder.

Excess stomach acid treatment

In the treatment of stomach acidity, proton pump inhibitors IPP (omeprazol, pantoprazole, esomeprazole and lanzaprazol) are most commonly used. They cause a rapid decline in disease by decreasing the production of sodium acid by the tooth' s lymphocytes. These medicines are generally safe and well tolerated.

A diet with an excess of stomach acid

It is recommended to eat foods high in protein, including lean meat (e.g. poultry), fish, poulters, eggs, as well as products such as pasta, rice, potatoes, cornbread and sugar). It is also recommended to drink large quantities of water, salt, juices and herbal teas. Herbal medicine has the properties of curing the flavor of salty foods by reducing the saltiness of whole animal juices.
