It can be obtained by hydrolyzing acidic sugar compounds into pure sugars with the use of colorants, flavors and flavoring essences.. The definition is complex. If artificial honey has no nutrient value at all (it has no energy from organic acids), then it can be produced in two and a half times as pure as pure sugar, so that it is sold in its pure form as a natural product.
