Duck is a meat that is rarely consumed in Poland. It is much more common to eat pork or chicken. Although it has a high fat content, it is recommended because of the essential unsaturated fatty acids present in its meat, which are very important in maintaining good health.

Meat from duck properties

Duckmeat is not only a good source of protein, but also of mineral components, in particular selenium and zinc. Both minerals play an important role in the proper functioning of enzymes, in addition to which zinc boosts the immune system, while selen supports the function of the pancreas. Thanks to its B-vitamin content, meat supports memory and functioning in the nervous system, and the iron content in it contributes to the production of brain cells, also providing the proper level of hemoglobin, thus preventing anemia and improving the functioning immune system.

The recipe for duck

Ingredients: duck (about 2 kg), rosemary, parsley, pepper, salt, 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 apples. Performance: Wash the duck, clean it and paint it with spices and butter, put it in quarters (with cut seed nests) of the apple.
