The caffeine present in coffee has numerous advantageous qualities for our bodies... unfortunately, there are also certain risks... the Copenhagen diet, which recommends consuming coffee as a replacement for breakfast, might effectively help in weight loss, but could it potentially harm our health?

Coffee as a Breakfast Substitute

Coffee contains caffeine, which offers numerous benefits. Many of us cannot imagine a day without a cup of aromatic coffee. It has become a daily ritual that prepares us for demanding activities. The strongest effect of caffeine occurs after 30 minutes but lasts up to eight hours. Therefore, it should not be overdone. Coffee accelerates metabolism and can aid in weight loss. For this reason, the creators of the Copenhagen diet recommend drinking black coffee instead of breakfast. However, coffee consumed on an empty stomach can be harmful and increase the risk of stomach ulcers. One hour after consumption, its effects wear off, and there are still three hours until the next meal. Therefore, coffee is not an ideal breakfast substitute. Remember that breakfast is crucial for your energy and health.
