People tend to impose rigorous plans on themselves and completely abandon them as soon as a small deviation occurs. Everyone is just a person who has permission for a worse day. It becomes important to adapt to changing conditions by implementing plan B. If an evening out to the pool has to be canceled because of a baby's fever, it's worth having an emergency plan that assumes, for example, limiting simple sugars after 6 p.m. the next day.
