Is it even like encouraging a child to eat fruit and vegetables?
First, you have to remember that babies, like adults, have their favorite foods, and they prefer some foods more and others less. That's normal, and it's reasonable to accept that. Every mother should just make sure that her child can choose between the healthiest and most diverse things. Second, if we decide to introduce solid foods, let's make sure they're vegetables first, and then fruit next. And if we go the other way, vegetables that aren't as tasty as they are might not be as encouraging.
