Colonic polyps – classification, symptomatic presentation, therapeutic approaches, and dietary guidelines: Do colorectal polyps pose a significant health risk?

Colonic polyps represent pathological, often asymptomatic protrusions of the intestinal mucosa, with detection and management primarily reliant on colonoscopic procedures. What criteria distinguish the various polyp subtypes, and which carry the highest risk of malignant transformation? Additionally, what dietary principles should individuals diagnosed with colorectal polyps adhere to in order to mitigate potential complications?

Infections of the large intestine

Polypus (polys prefix meaning m.. in: numerous, large; -pous foot, leg, paw, cat, arm) glandular pathogenic creature growing from mucous membranes emitted by the lining of the gland. A polyp is a macroscopic term for any protrusion of the membrane over the surface, directed towards the light (center) of the intestine. Polypes can occur singly or in clusters.

It's all kinds of polips

Polyps can be divided in terms of several criteria. One concerns the nature of the structure, i.e. those of cancerous and non-cancerous cells. The other often includes the so-called juvenile polyps, usually single and located at the end of the digestive tract of children and adolescents. The most common type of polyps found in adults are the so called glandular cells, which are often precursors to cancer changes. These are the most dangerous of all polyps when there is a high risk that they are related to the inflammation of the large intestine.

What's wrong with you?

The presence of small polyps may not give any symptoms or they will be less specific. There may be a change in the rhythm of emptying (in the direction of constipation or diarrhoea), a portion of the stool, mucous stools, abdominal pain and intestinal discomfort. Larger structures often cause additional bleeding. However, blood loss does not always have to be seen during emptiness. Often these are the so-called hidden digestive bleeds.

Ovarian ulcers are treated

Polyps are usually detected by endoscopic examination (colonoscopy). Small creatures detected during this diagnosis can be removed immediately with appropriate tools. Removal of larger polyps may involve the need for surgery. All creatures after removal are subjected to a microscopic evaluation, where their type (cancerous or not) is specified.

Ovarian ulcers treatment with herbs

The discovery of polyps during an endoscopic examination usually results in their removal. Nevertheless, there have been reports of attempts to treat these creatures without surgical intervention. Experiments in this regard were conducted by Prof. Aminiew, who used a plant called herbal follicle to treat polyps of the large intestine and stomach. He used a macerate of fresh, dissolved green (prepared in appropriate proportions and temperature) which was used after pre-filtration (for polyps located within the small intestine) or in the mouth (for herbal polyps) for his patients to use at the same time.

Fat belly poisoning is a diet

The diet of patients with polyps of the large intestine includes basic dietary recommendations for the rest of the population, indicating that they should concentrate on products that will not irritate the diseased mucous membrane of the small intestine. To this end, it is important to limit the intangible fiber fraction (including multicellular products and plant pests) and to focus on its soluble form (from fruits, such as apples, onions, citric acid, and broccoli, which are insecticides).
