Instances such as celebrations can pose a challenging test for our self-control. Consumption of alcohol can stimulate the appetite, and unhealthy snacks are often readily accessible. However, there are methods to maintain a healthy physique and simultaneously indulge in delectable snacks. We can experiment with various wholesome recipes alongside friends and consume them (of course in moderate portions) without feelings of remorse. Snacks should be light and delectable, and homemade snacks are the best. Here are a few recommendations, but the internet is brimming with inspiration, and everyone can find something for themselves.

Corn triangles with avocado paste

We can produce corn triangles ourselves or purchase them. High-quality ones should only contain cornmeal, wheat flour, salt, water and oil. Sugar and other preservatives are not necessary. We can also prepare triangles at home by cutting them into triangles and placing them in the preheated oven at 180⁰C for a few minutes until they are crispy. There are many recipes for avocado paste, but the basic version contains ripe avocado, lemon juice, salt and garlic. Triangles are also delicious with spicy tomato sauce.

Tortilla wraps or pancake rolls

We persistently apply a thick paste such as guacamole, hummus, onion-infused cheese on the tortilla or pancake - crucial is that the sauce is highly concentrated and doesn't leak from the plates. We position next to leafy vegetables and additives, such as smoked salmon, bell pepper, cucumber. We roll and cut into smaller portions. If we possess tortillas, we can also prepare tacos or burritos. Mexican cuisine presents a multitude of tasty snacks.

Falafel spheres, or the flavor from the Middle East

These are diminutive, spherical patties made from chickpeas, supplemented with garlic, onion, parsley, and a medley of spices. The distinctive flavor is imparted by Roman cumin and coriander. This appetizer hailing from the Middle East will undoubtedly delight everyone.

Homemade crunchies

These can be prepared from potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsley root, or even vegetables, sliced into thin layers, mixed in a bowl with olive oil, salt, sweet pepper and hot pepper, and baked in the oven at 220°C for a few minutes until they're crunchy.

Pizza dough that consistently turns out superb

To create an outstanding pizza dough, we require 400 g of wheat flour, 30 g of yeast, 220 ml of water, a flat spoon of sugar and a spoonful of salt and 2 tablespoons of oil. The yeast should be mixed with slightly heated water and sugar. Then, add flour, salt, and oil and knead the dough until it becomes elastic. Allow the dough to rest for about an hour so that it rises, and then bake it for 20 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius with chosen additions, such as tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil for a Margarita pizza. This same dough can also be used to make croquettes with any desired filling; fried spinach and feta or mozzarella cheese filling is particularly recommended.

Fresh vegetables with homemade hummus

This is the simplest snack dish that will surely appeal not only to vegans but also to all lovers of healthy food. Hummus can be easily prepared at home and is much cheaper than the store-bought version. For this purpose, you will need a kitchen mixer or a kitchen robot. In addition to cooked chickpeas, you will need sesame paste (tahini), garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin. You can use any type of vegetable, for example, carrots, celery, radish, which should be cut into strips and dipped in hummus.

Healthy treats for those with a sweet tooth

For sweet tooth enthusiasts, one can prepare chocolate brownies - this is the quickest and simplest cake. It can be made with flour, eggs, butter, and chocolate or a gluten-free version with red beans, banana instead of sugar, and defatted cocoa. Cakes are also quick cakes that will always turn out well. There's no need for a mixer! Date truffles are the perfect quick treat. Simply soak a cup of dates in boiling water, drain the water, and blend the dates with a tablespoon of bitter cocoa, half a cup of coconut flakes, and a banana. If they are not sweet enough, you can add stevia, xylitol, or honey. Form the mass into balls and roll them in coconut flakes.
