This article is a continuation of the first part, which covered the topic of main differences between outdoor workouts and CrossFit. If this topic has caught your interest, we welcome you to continue reading!

The CrossFit Training Method

CrossFit – performing exercises in training stations, where one exercise follows another. The time to perform the exercises is measured, but the duration of breaks is set in advance, just like the number of repetitions and sets. On the official websites, such plans are posted daily with a set time, and athletes compete with each other trying to beat that time. There are also options for group training, but special attention must be paid to the progress level of beginners. Workout – in most cases, there are no such restrictions. For individuals who are just starting out with SW, it's hard to admit that we rarely have a main training plan. Men train for their own pleasure and perform exercises that they desire and find useful. One of the very important skills in Workout is perceiving one's own body and understanding what is beneficial for you and what isn't. Everyone chooses one exercise from each plan that gives them maximum results. No one forbids talking during the break. Workout is primarily a way to spend time for one's own benefit, and muscles and strength are the result of what men engage in on a daily basis, and not their main goal.

Effectualness

These two types of sports are too far apart from each other to definitively determine which is more effective. Everything here mainly depends on the goals you set for yourself during training. I always compare the muscle groups, because I often notice CrossFit enthusiasts taking off their shirts at the gym. They have flat bellies, and their muscles are prominent, but without a clear shape. In fact, both the first and second types of exercises shape the figure. The difference lies in the fact that in strength training, the number of men looking similar to me is in the hundreds, whereas in CrossFit, if you compare their appearance to the CrossFit world champion, the similarities are few. Everything depends on the path you choose.

Method of exercise execution

Workout – the correct execution of exercises is key, not their number. Men strive primarily to perform their repetitions correctly. Over time, with progress in training, your strength will also increase, and with it the number of pulls performed. However, improving the technique of performing exercises becomes increasingly difficult, as an undesirable reaction (a disadvantageous motor) develops in our nervous system. In CrossFit, due to the mass interest, it is difficult to teach a whole group of each exercise correctly. A limitation arises especially when we have a set break that we must adhere to. Trainers will find it very difficult to correct each person individually. In this discipline, dynamic stretches/butterfly stretches/stretches with momentum are very popular. I will never accept such stretches. A CrossFit trainer will try to prove to you how many benefits come from such stretches. Greater muscle engagement? Rather not. It is a way to present oneself under the title „I stretched myself 40 times”, but they do not add which method is used. The correct technique not only looks better, but also strengthens the muscles more efficiently.
