Three-Phase Omelette for Three

An omelet is an excellent choice for breakfast – its preparation does not require extensive culinary knowledge and the entire process is quick and simple. In order to ensure that the omelet provides adequate satiety throughout the morning, it is important to carefully select its ingredients. In the following, three different methods for preparing omelets in a savory version are presented.

What ingredients are utilized to create a robust omelette?

The foundation of every omelette is eggs. They have a high nutritional value – they are a source of complete protein, together with which all necessary amino acids are delivered to the body. In addition, eggs contain many valuable vitamins (such as A and E) and minerals (including potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium). The content of the selected ingredients in 100 g of eggs (H. Kunachowicz et al., 2016) is as follows: protein: 12.5 g, fat: 9.7 g, carbohydrates: 0.6 g, vitamin A: 272 μg, vitamin D: 1.7 μg, vitamin E: 0.73 mg, potassium: 133 mg, phosphorus: 204 mg, magnesium: 12 mg. A significant factor in creating a robust omelette is the appropriate selection of ingredients that will provide a longer feeling of satiety. In addition to eggs, other protein sources such as milk, cheese, meat, nuts, or seeds can also be incorporated into the breakfast. Another essential component is carbohydrates. Besides flour or oatmeal, vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes) can also be used to prepare a savory omelette. Do not forget to add fats – they can come from oils, nuts, or seeds.
