It relies on natural, regional products that aid in weight reduction and disease prevention. Due to the availability of characteristic ingredients from this area, the Scandinavian diet has become a practical nutritional model.

The Nordic diet

The Nordic diet, which is also known as the Nordic Diet, is a relatively new way of eating. It was developed by Arne Astrup, a PhD student at the Department of Human Nutrition at the University of Copenhagen and founder of the Danish restaurant Noma which is considered one of the best in the world. It is a simple diet based on locally available natural products and adapted to our geographical breadth. It has a very beneficial effect on the blood system, the heart, and also through the use of appropriate ingredients, it supports the work of the brain. Furthermore, it helps in the fight against obesity and lowers blood cholesterol.

The Nordic diet is the rule

The first principle of the Nordic diet is to limit consumption of animal products and increase consumption of plant foods. Meals enriched with meat products in accordance with the nordic diet are based on cereals, pulses (beans, beans, legumes), are rich in vegetables and fruits. A healthy and tasty supplement to the diet are nuts, which have a very beneficial effect on brain functioning. Meal enriches with meat foods according to the Nordic diet should be processed 3 times a week. It is worth noting that honey and potatoes should come from organically sourced crops.
