The inspiration for the construction of the Kekwicki diet was a study (published in 1956) that observed greater weight loss when eating high-fat meals. In this experiment, obese people were recommended low-energy diets, but differed in nutrient content.

This diet is dedicated to people with weight loss problems using conventional methods. The diet consists of eating 1000 calories per day in the form of 5 meals of 200 calories each. This period lasts from 4 to 5 days. After that time you should streamline your diet by also providing the body with the necessary carbohydrates and proteins in greater quantities. Avoiding protein for a long time leads to muscle protein breakdown.

The Kekwick diet is effective

Such strict calorie restriction will undoubtedly result in weight loss. However, the downside of this diet is that it can't be used for long periods of time. The fight against unnecessary kilograms should be based on permanent changes in the way you eat. Calorie restrictions are necessary, but such low-energy diets are increasingly being used, primarily because of the risk of vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
