Products derived from oats in Poland remain relatively niche, largely because their manufacturing necessitates a technologically advanced processing line specifically designed for oat-based production. This additional capital expenditure directly translates into a higher retail price for the finished goods, thereby limiting their widespread availability in the consumer market.

Oatmeal properties

Oat flour contains a lot of fiber that improves digestive processes. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced in 2003 that water-soluble food fiber ingredients help reduce the incidence of coronary heart disease. Oat processors are a rich source of antioxidants: tokolins, awenantramides, polyphenols, phytonic acids. They also contain fractured fatty acids, such as α-linolenic acid (alomega-3) and phytosterols.

Oatmeal to be used

In the 1930s, it was discovered that the addition of oatmeal to milk, ice cream, and meat and fish products significantly extended their shelf life. Among the world's largest oat producers, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, 75% of the seeds obtained are used for animal feed, and only 20% is used for food production.
