Occasionally, it happens that upon waking up in the morning, there is no incentive to perform tasks... Waking up necessitates more work than the most demanding training... Therefore, attitude is so crucial... In today's article, I intend to concentrate on the subject of mental training... The brain is a muscle just like the heart or the bicep muscle... If it is not stimulated, it atrophies... Arnold Schwarzenegger emphasized that when he didn't feel like training, he would simply alter his mindset... I will present several methods to adopt an optimistic attitude before training.
Mental drill – self-motivation
Certain individuals do not require motivation from external sources. They tell themselves daily, often even multiple times a day, that they are the best. They do this until they are completely convinced of it. Such unwavering certainty allows them to achieve incredible goals. This process is known as affirmation. We visualize detailed images in our mind of what we want to achieve. The more details, the greater the likelihood that it will become a reality. We repeat such an affirmation at least twice a day, both in the morning and in the evening.
Externally driven motivational impulse
Internal motivation is just as pivotal as external motivation. It's often the main driving force for individuals with low self-esteem. Such individuals aspire to resemble their idols. They meticulously emulate their behavior to achieve similar outcomes. They focus on the objective they're pursuing but frequently necessitate assistance in their endeavors. For them, the fitting context holds paramount importance. In external motivation, motivational films, for example, play a critical role, with an immense number available on the internet.
My preferred approach
My preferred approach is anchoring - one can observe how often the best athletes listen to music before a performance to get into the right mood. Each of us possesses a song that fits well with us, or a favorite shirt that we wear and feel excellent. These are examples of anchoring that get us in the right mood. When I listen to motivational music, I'm able to perform a more intense workout than without it. This is because I focus on one thing at that time. Everything depends on how focused we are. 95% of what we do and who we are in life depends on our subconscious mind. Therefore, mental training and positive attitude and character building are essential if we want to achieve success in any discipline.
Future-oriented planning
Planning our future actions in advance is also highly significant. It's easier to concentrate on a task that has been planned beforehand because we are familiar with it and it doesn't present any unpredictability for our mind. Without a detailed training program and a precise goal, we are not able to achieve such good results as when planning. Planning is also a form of self-commitment. When I don't feel ready to fulfill a task that I know is my responsibility, asking myself how I will be able to look in the mirror if I fail.
