Food intolerance

Food intolerance can manifest itself in many ways. It occurs after eating certain foods that cause adverse reactions in our body. It should be emphasized that it is not caused by an immune response of the body. Food that is not tolerated by our body is poorly digested. It can appear after a certain period of time after consuming certain products. Symptoms vary from person to person and may occur differently in each person. Some may have acute headaches, others may experience stomach ulcers, diarrhoea or skin problems.

Food allergy

In food allergy, as opposed to intolerance, there is an immediate and acute response of the immune system to food eaten. Food allergens (to which the body may be sensitive) cause an immune system response and release IgE class antibodies. Therefore, the symptoms of food allergies are related to the body's immune response e.g. itching, fever, heartburn, redness, swelling, rash, diarrhoea, dizziness, vomiting.
