Chocolate is one of those treats that's hard to resist... Most commercially available products are packed with sugar, sweeteners, and additives, and their excessive consumption is certainly not conducive to good health... But could chocolate actually be a healthy part of the diet? The key component is cocoa, and its quality and quantity determine the value of the final product, so this is the factor that should guide our selection.

How to make chocolate
The main ingredient in chocolate is cocoa beans. The cocoa bean, or cocoa fruit, is opened after breaking, and the seeds are extracted from the inside, which are then fermented. The next stages of production are drying and roasting, which gives the seed its characteristic aroma. The seeds then crush, shed and melt until semi-liquid consistency.

On the store shelves we can find all sorts of chocolates, but despite the wide selection, we can make the candy ourselves at home. The preparation is simple and quick, and the ingredients we can choose according to our tastes.
