Beneforte – an innovative broccoli cultivar with clinically demonstrated cholesterol-lowering properties

Beneforte represents a purposefully bred broccoli variety, developed through advanced yet entirely natural cultivation techniques, which demonstrates a clinically significant and rapid reduction in harmful LDL cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. Owing to these distinctive properties, it may serve as a valuable tool in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases—including atherosclerosis and hypertension—which remain leading causes of mortality in high-income populations

Broccoli in the fight against cholesterol

A group of scientists from England and Norway has developed a new strain of broccoli called Beneforte, which effectively reduces the levels of bad cholesterol. Thanks to natural cultivation techniques, scientists have increased the amount of glucoraphan in the new strains of broccolins. Glucophane in the body is converted into sulforaphan, which has anti-tumor properties and also helps to stop cholesterol. The action of brockoli has been tested in an experiment on 130 people who had a high level of LDL cholesterol.
