Rote Bananen - Nährstoffe und Verzehr. Wie isst man rote Bananen am besten?
1 / 1

Red bananas

They come from India and Southeast Asia, and their taste is felt as slightly resinous. They are rich in potassium, vitamin D, B6 and antioxidants, and the composition is similar to that of the yellow variety, but they only contain more beta-carotene.

Red bananas properties

Potassium helps to counteract the formation of kidney stones and stops calcium in the body, and it also supports the heart by lowering blood pressure (but remember that foods rich in sodium are not safe for everyone, so if you have kidney disease you should check with your doctor first). The vitamin C in these fruits supports your immune system, stimulates lymphocyte production, and reduces the likelihood of cancer.

How do you eat red bananas?

These bananas have a characteristic reddish-brown skin and delicate, sweet spots. They can be eaten raw or heat-treated. They are recommended for cakes, homemade ice cream, salads and cocktails. They're delicious both roasted and fried in butter. When you buy them, make sure that the skin is dark red, crisp to the touch, and has tiny dark spots (as in a mature banana), you'll be sure the additions are ripe. Otherwise, they'll taste unpleasantly bananas.
