Muaythai, with its millennia-old tradition, is a discipline in which sport and competition coexist perfectly with culture, history, and martial arts.
Rafał Szlachta - my academic youth years and the birth of my interest in Muaythai
I was engaged in Muay Thai during my academic youth years. I traveled abroad to see how it looked like. I was in Belarus, among other places, where the sport was already adopted and well developed. In Poland, it was just beginning to grow. There was no organization that would bring together the Muay Thai enthusiasts. I founded the first Polish Muay Thai Association. I bought a book to create a website. In the times when one still connected to the internet through a telephone modem, I created the first sports website dedicated to Muay Thai. After a month, it was already visible that there were more Muay Thai enthusiasts in Poland. We began to connect, create one federation. In 2003, the first competitions took place in Poland, and then the events developed rapidly. Muay Thai sections began to multiply, and one could meet people who were involved in this sport more frequently, in every corner of Poland. In the last 20-30 years, there was a significant increase in interest in karate, kickboxing, kung fu. These were martial arts that were called popular. Only a few people knew about Muay Thai. Now the halls during Muay Thai fights are full.
This is neither a lie nor the truth
To comprehend Muaythai, one must relocate to Thailand. It is, in fact, a sports discipline as old as Thailand itself, with a history nearly a thousand years old. One of the few, if not the only, forms of sport that links the sporting aspect with that which is inseparably tied to culture. The sole martial art that is obligatory during competitions and fights to be accompanied by music specifically composed for this purpose. The only martial art that initiates with a ritual. The traditional wai khru ritual, or paying respect to the teacher, is not just a dance dedicated to the trainer, but a gesture of respect towards anyone who has taught us something in life. Often referred to as the warrior's dance, due to its characteristic choreography. Fighters move around the ring in different directions, performing rhythmic dance steps. Of course, within these movements lie the techniques of Muaythai. And lastly, what defines Muaythai: it is a full-contact martial art.
The name is: Rafał Szlachta
Muaythai likely attained global fame thanks to films.. such as the well-known Ong Bak.. It was depicted there how the contestant Ting trains and prepares.. The elements of muaythai are clearly visible in the ultimate fight where Ting appeared.. However, the greatest popularity developed due to amateur movements.. The amateur movement introduced head, elbow, shave, body protectors, making this still young combat sport practicable for most individuals.. Awareness of the pain felt by every human necessitated a substantial amount of self-restraint and courage to commence muaythai training in the professional formula, i.e., without protectors.. However, when the amateur movement arose and protectors were introduced, the willingness to try one's hand at muaythai significantly increased, allowing combat without inflicting pain on oneself and the opponent.

"The amateur federation, in which we currently bring together 128 countries from around the world... We're present on every continent... Our organization is recognized by all the international sports associations, we operate in accordance with the rules of WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency, and have anti-doping testing in our competitions, just like every Olympics... We're no longer a small group of enthusiasts, but a dynamic federation."
I will not mislead you:
In reality, I could respond in one sentence that muaythai is a performance... the receiver, the viewer, will always be seeking performances, something to stop him... muaythai can accomplish that... we commence with a ritual that is not replicated in any other sport, and subsequently, there is an effective battle that includes hands, elbows, knees, etc... it's splendid for the receiver.
I shall not mislead you
These campaigns are an initiative originating from Thailand. The idea was already present, but there is nothing to hide that thanks to my efforts and the efforts of my colleague-trainer Raphael Simonides, who is the Campaign's Ambassador, much has been accomplished. These campaigns are not just a password and a name, but many real actions. Raphael Simonides has visited many schools and clubs, where he spoke about muaythai and these campaigns. He came with his medals, trophies, and films, talking about his travels and all the wonderful experiences in sports. He spoke about the group. Children and young people always want to have a group, in the sense of a group. And we want it to have a positive meaning - a sports group. So for more than 10 years, a story has been unfolding in which many young people have changed something in their lives through muaythai training.

"I assure you, I'm not misleading you"
Our audience encompasses all age groups, ranging from children to the elderly... Furthermore, all that's required is an inner desire for fun and admiration... There are no age limitations. According to our investigation, combat sports are frequented by more women than men... We have also been informed that the championship will be attended by, among other esteemed guests, the ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand.
