Proper hydration during the day is also crucial, as water loss of 1-2% can significantly reduce the body's performance, which is especially important for active individuals. Water is involved in all vital processes, so it is essential to replenish its supply daily. Different sources give different recommendations for the amount of water to drink. The simplest and most common rule is: 1 kcal = 1 ml of fluid, in which fluid includes not only what we drink but also what we get from food, such as soups, fruits, or vegetables. I believe that it is better to drink more than less, especially when exposed to greater fluid loss, such as during physical activity. But why is water so important? Water transports oxygen and nutrients to all body cells, moistens joints and air in the lungs. It also ensures maintaining normal body temperature, water and electrolyte balance, as well as acid-base balance. A water deficiency in the body can lead to fatigue, headaches, constipation, and concentration problems.

The frequently discussed topic of dietary fiber. Poles do not consume it in adequate amounts, which leads to the creation of many high-fiber products. Vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins, and based on their presence, they can be divided into those rich in beta-carotene or vitamin C and those that provide vitamins from the B group as well as vitamin K and folic acid. Vegetables support the immune system, the circulatory system, and the body's regeneration. By achieving the right balance in our diet, we can take care of our bodies so that they function properly and can handle detoxification processes.
