Check the ingredients that halva is composed of and how it impacts our health, and also whether it is worthwhile to opt for self-production.

Thank you

Greek, Turkish, Ukrainian, and even Russian... chalav is a very popular delicacy, perfect for coffee or strong tea... it comes in different flavors, so everyone can find something for themselves... maybe how many other homemade delicacies will make it healthier? Is it a better snack than other sweets? But what is chalav?

It's all about the composition

Traditionally, chalava is mainly seasoned seeds and honey. Most often used is sesame (Turkish and Greek sauce), but it is also popular with sunflower sauce (so-called Ukrainian sauce). But this delicacy is not limited to seeds of sesame and peanut butter. It can be added to the flavor of vanilla, various bacon or cocoa. It is just as tasty and so sweet as dessert. However, the sauce on the shelf is also more popular because it contains all or part of the solid fatty acids of chaos plants from the root of the eggs, as well as emulsions and flavourings.

Praise for the properties

However, the vast majority are polyunsaturated fatty acids, mainly omega-6s. They also contain beneficial substances, the same as the seeds from which they are made. Sunflower is a source of vitamin E, which is known for its strong antioxidant properties. It also contains a significant amount of magnesium (359/100g), as well as sesame (377mg/100g). Both of these products also contain a very high amount of phosphorus (above 770 mg/100g) an essential element for all energy changes in the body and the composition of fruits and vegetables.

Praise the recipe

It's very easy to make, so you can easily add it to the repertoire of homemade sweets. The simplest version only requires seeds of sesame (or sunflower), liquid honey, and vanilla flavor. The seeds must first be roasted on a dry pan to give them flavor and crispness. The next step is to make the curdled grains in an electric grinder.

Is the bowl healthy?

Unfortunately, cabbage is not a healthy food, despite the rich mineral content of the seeds. However, it is a high-energy product. In 100 g of this dessert, there are 500 to 550 kcal. What makes it so high in calories? So cabbage consists of almost one-third fat, and in 1⁄2 carbohydrates, almost entirely simple sugars. Moreover, the oils contained in these seeds are rich in omega-6 fatty acids. In the body, however, they are essential to adding the pro-inflammatory factors necessary to fight off the pathogenic factors.
