Thyroid diseases affect a considerable number of people in our country. It is estimated that in Poland more than 20% of the population suffers from or has suffered from thyroid diseases. In case of thyroid diseases, it is extremely important to recognize the disease promptly and initiate appropriate treatment depending on the patient's health and the results of laboratory tests. The patient's continuous care by an endocrinologist is also considered [1].
Graves-Based disease
Graves-Bassed disease is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland. Its etiology is not well understood. It is believed that endogenous factors, including genetic and intra-intestinal factors, as well as environmental factors, are necessary for the occurrence of the disease. Autotransmitters against TSH receptors (TSHRs) are a key factor that leads to disease. They lead to the development of thyroid function.
Graves-Bassed disease is a symptom
Graves-Bassed disease, along with hyperthyroidism, is one of the two most common causes of hypothyroidism in up to 30% of patients. The time of its onset is different In the clinical picture, with symptoms of hyperactivity of the thyroid, it usually involves male will, i.e. an enlarged thyroid with no apparent focal changes. There is also fairly frequent narrowing of the eyelids[3].
Graves-Bassed disease is the prognosis
In untreated hyperthyroidism, remission sometimes occurs spontaneously. However, life-threatening complications may occur early on. The use of pharmacological treatment accelerates the recovery, but in approximately 50% of cases there is a relapse of the disease. It is estimated that after 6 months of treatment, the anti-TSHR antibody levels in most patients normalize. Unfortunately, this does not give any assurance that the recovery will last.
Graves-Based Disease is a diet
The literature points to the fact that nutritional support in autoimmune bowel disease, including some drugs, alcohol, preservatives, colours taken with the addition of grapefruit, calming inflammatory conditions in the body. This goal can be achieved by: eliminating allergens from the diet, eliminating the factors contributing to increasing the permeability and decreasing the selectivity of the intestinal mucosa of the pancreas, some medicines, preservative products, colourants taken with metabolism, reducing the deficiency of nutrients in the organism. The goal of this goal is to provide adequate supplies of vitamin D from the digestive system.
