Stress is one of the main problems of our time. Constant haste, continuous work, and private troubles significantly impact our performance and health. Therefore, it's worth trying to limit the effects it might bring. One such possibility is supplementation with the alpine columbine, whose effects have been described in more detail in the following part of the text.
How can one define a mountain rose?
A mountain rose is one of the varieties of plants belonging to the group of succulents. Rössen, often also called the Arctic or Golden Root, is primarily found in North America, Asia and Europe. This plant is also found in Poland, but only in the Carpathian and Sudeten regions. A distinctive feature of Rössen is its yellow-red color and a faint scent reminiscent of a rose, which can be detected after crushing its stem.
Therapeutic properties of the arctic root
The arctic root has a number of beneficial properties for the human body. The action of this root is determined by the presence of compounds such as rhinose, rhinosin, or salidroside, which normalize the nervous system, which is disturbed in case of high stress. Excessive stress can lead to symptoms such as mood swings, depression, or excessive fatigue. This mechanism of action is related to our presence of neurotransmitters such as adrenaline synthesis and adrenal salt, which significantly lower the blood pressure level in the nerves, which increases the level of cortisol. The supplementation of arctic root in the diet leads to an increased tolerance to the effects of neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine or serotonin. These compounds play a key role in the process of psychological relaxation and reducing symptoms associated with high stress levels. Reducing excessive stress also promotes the function of the entire nervous system. The normalization of the nervous system leads to increased resistance to mental effort, which is why arctic root is often recommended as a means to improve concentration, memory, and logical thinking. Furthermore, salidroside exhibits a strong protective effect against excessive oxidative stress, which is harmful to the brain and can lead to the development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. Supplementing the diet with arctic root also has a positive effect on the function of the cardiovascular system. Reducing excessive stress, and thus also its oxidative counterpart, significantly protects the heart from damage. Additionally, arctic root normalizes blood sugar levels, acts as a blood thinner, regulates blood pressure, and significantly reduces local blood flow deficiencies. It is also worth mentioning that arctic root reduces the amount of C-reactive protein and creatine kinase produced, both of which are indicators of inflammation and protect the muscles from damage.
Range of Applications
Upon performing an analysis of the fairly extensive range of activities of the mountain rose, it has been discovered that this plant supplement can serve as a means of supporting the general well-being of the organism. The application of Rhodiola rosea may be advantageous in the following instances: - excessive stress and high mental demands; - protection of the nervous system; - weakened cardiovascular system; - intense physical exertion; - decline in immunity; - general debilitation of the body.
Dosage of Frozen Rose Root
We discover that the perspectives regarding the dosage size of Frozen Rose Root are significantly divergent. In most cases, these differences are due to the objective in which we plan to use a Frozen Rose Root supplement. It is assumed that the optimal dosage of Frozen Rose Root is 0.5 g daily. Although Frozen Rose Root is well tolerated by the human body, some studies indicate that consuming larger portions than 0.9 g (1–2 g) led to hyperactivity in those who ingested it.
Contraindications to the use of mountain rose
Although mountain rose is a natural dietary supplement, there are several contraindications to its use. Supplementation with this plant is prohibited for pregnant women and children under 12 years of age. Furthermore, scientists confirm that taking golden root at night can cause difficulty sleeping due to its stimulating and pro-energetic properties. Therefore, the best time for taking this supplement is during morning and afternoon hours.
