Spaghetti with tomatoes
Preparation steps
Wash and halve the tomatoes, remove the stems and seeds and cut the tomatoes into cubes of about 1 cm. Wash the basil, pat dry and cut into fine strips.
Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent and set aside.
Just before the pasta is cooked, heat the onion and garlic again. Add the tomatoes and heat briefly while stirring. They should really only get warm and not absorb too much water. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
Drain the pasta, mix with the tomatoes and basil and serve immediately with the cheese.
