According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), fruits and vegetables should constitute a significant part of our daily diet. Nutritionists suggest consuming 400 grams of fruits and vegetables daily, preferably divided into five portions. However, upon examining magazines and websites related to nutrition, one can find various information regarding the consumption of fruit. This is a controversial topic, as some recommend consuming fruit only in the first half of the day, while others suggest eating it in the evening. There are also opinions that it is better to eat fruit before eating than after. Due to these numerous pieces of advice, one can easily get confused, hence it is important to organize these information and answer the question whether the time of fruit consumption is truly significant.

1. The nutritional value of the fruit

Vegetable foods, including fruit, are primarily a carbohydrate of essential vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, including pectins, and phytonutrients that have a beneficial effect on the body. Fruits also contain simple sugars such as glucose, fructose or sucrose. These are sugars that are naturally present in fruits and should not be feared, as long as, of course, two apples are consumed during the day, but they contain an adequate amount of fruit and do not exceed the daily energy requirement.

2. Fruit and time of day

According to the rules of healthy eating, the last meal should be eaten no later than two to three hours before bedtime. Of course, this is due to the fact that in the evening our physical and mental activity is much less than during the day, so, for example, a large amount of simple sugars from increased amounts of fruit are consumed much slower. As a result, sugars can ferment in our meals and lead to unpleasant illnesses such as breathing or gas. However, we can counteract this activity by controlling the amount of fruit we eat at night, and also by ensuring that the fat content of the fruit is adequately controlled, so that the fats and fats that we eat in our bodies and our bodies can also be controlled by low levels of fat and protein.

3. Eating fruit and losing weight

Everyone has probably come across the idea that if you're on a reduction diet, you shouldn't eat fruit, or the opposite view is that you can eat fruit without restrictions. So what is it in practice? People on a low-energy diet should also make sure that they get the right amount of fruit in their diet. They provide a lot of valuable ingredients, so their presence is indicated. But it's important to remember not to eat them in vegetables, because even though they're rich in vitamins, they contain a lot more simple sugars.
