1. Oatmeal with coffee

There are people who cannot imagine a morning without a warming cup of coffee. Others, however, value a nutritious breakfast that prepares them for the day. Both approaches can be combined by preparing oatmeal with coffee. Ingredients: – Oats, spelt flakes or buckwheat flakes – ½ cup (50 g), – milk or plant-based drink – ¾ cup (200 ml), – espresso – cup (50 ml), – optionally: vanilla extract (a few drops) or chocolate chunks (6 g). Preparation: In a pot, heat a small amount of water. Then add the flakes, pour in milk and coffee (optionally add a few drops of vanilla extract or chocolate chunks). Cook until the flakes have absorbed all the liquid; stir frequently. Serve hot or cold with your favorite toppings like nuts, fruits or yogurt.

2. Pancakes with coffee addition

Pancakes are popular worldwide, in various variations. In Poland, they are also very popular. More and more restaurants specialize in preparing these baked goods and offer them in many flavor options. One of them is the pancake with coffee addition, which goes perfectly with curd cheese and fresh fruits or flowing chocolate. Ingredients: – egg – piece (50 g), – wheat flour – ¾ cup (100 g), – milk – ⅓ cup (100 ml), – water – ⅓ cup (100 ml), – espresso – cup (50 ml), – cocoa – teaspoon (5 g), – xylitol or erythritol – tablespoon (15 g), – baking powder – ¼ teaspoon (1 g), – salt – pinch (0, 2 g), – optional: vegetable oil – tablespoon (10 g).

3. „Hummus” Coffee - sweet version

Hummus is a popular paste in the Middle East made from chickpeas, sesame, garlic, and lemons. The following is a sweet alternative to this dish that contains espresso coffee - hence the name hummus is to be understood generally. The paste can be used as a cream for pasta, pancakes, or as a healthier alternative to sweet spreads on sandwiches. Ingredients: - dry chickpeas - ⅓ cup (50 g; about 100 g cooked chickpeas), - sesame paste tahini - ¼ cup (60 g), - xylitol or erythritol - 2 tablespoons (30 g), - espresso - 1 cup (50 ml), - purified soda - ½ teaspoon (2.5 g). Preparation: Espesso must be prepared, cooled, and refrigerated. Then, the dry chickpeas must be washed and soaked in water with the addition of purified soda for at least 6 hours (optimally all night). Then, the chickpeas must be rinsed, cooked in a lot of fresh water with the addition of purified soda, rinsed thoroughly through a sieve, and cooled. Then, the chickpeas must be processed with tahini paste into a smooth paste, sweetener must be added, and processed again. Then, cold coffee must be gradually added to obtain the desired consistency.

4. Coconut and coffee bean bars

In situations where a quick snack is needed (during a trip, training or a busy day), the ingredients are: oatmeal flakes 6 teaspoons (60 g), peanut butter paste 5 teaspoons (100 g), dried fruits (raisins, dates, cranberries, apricots, etc.) 2 flat tablespoons (20 g), favorite nuts and seeds 2–3 tablespoons (30 g), espresso 1 cup (50 ml), salt a pinch (0.2 g), optional: honey, maple syrup or agave syrup 1 teaspoon (12 g).

5. Coffee Marinade

Coffee is commonly associated with desserts and other sweet treats, but it can also be used in savory dishes. An example of this is a coffee marinade, which can be used for meat as well as tofu. The ingredients are: black coffee - 3/4 cup (200 ml), honey or agave syrup - 1 tablespoon (25 g), olive oil - 3 tablespoons (30 g), garlic - 1 clove (5 g), mustard - 1 teaspoon (10 g), spices: ground ginger - 1/2 teaspoon, salt - 1/4 teaspoon, black pepper and chili - a pinch. All ingredients should be mixed together in a container and thoroughly blended. Meat or tofu should be covered with marinade (ensuring it is completely covered) and left in the refrigerator overnight (at least 12 hours).
