Although they are present in the intestines, they affect the whole body. Hippocrates already claimed that "all diseases begin in the gut" and there were many reasons for this finding. It is worth considering which of them have a negative effect on the microorganisms in the stomach and on the organ itself. This organ is inhabited by the gut microbiota, which is a group of microbial organisms found in the digestive system. They play an important role in digestion, but they also have many other functions, such as participating in the fermentation of food ingredients, stimulating the immune system, affecting the balance of hormonal organs and the production of microbes.
