The ketogenic diet is what it's all about

Is it enough just to exclude an ingredient from your daily diet to make the extra pounds disappear? Their purpose is to lose unnecessary pounds. Elimination diets are gaining in popularity year after year.

1. The ketogenic diet is the premise

Since the macronutrient distribution in the classical ketogenic diet has not been used for too long in the 1920s, it has to benefit from other available fatty ingredients (and more precisely ketone bodies), so the food pyramid is actually reversed. Most often the amount of carbohydrates themselves is less than 50 g/day. The ketogenic Diet lacks a basic energy source (carbohydrate), so it needs to use other available fat ingredients (more accurately ketogenic bodies).

2. Ketogenic diet Recommended and contraindicated products

In order to get the body into ketosis, ketogenic diet advocates recommend eating certain foods. The Ketogenic diet is rich in foods that provide large amounts of both saturated and unsaturated fats. The proportions between them are also important.

3. The manufacturer shall provide the manufacturer with the following information:

sources of fat: vegetable oils, e.g. flaxseed, rapeseed, sunflower, coconut, mayonnaise, cream (the higher the fat content, the better), butter, butter, salt, avocado, nuts, peas, kidney beans, almonds, pumpkin seeds, flax seed, chia seeds and olives; source of protein: pork, beef, wild boar, lamb, lambs, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs; sources of carbohydrates: vegetables and fruits must contain a minimum amount of blueberries, such as cabbage, pomegranate, almond, sugar beets, peppers, peppercorns, tomatoes, tomato, beans;

4. The ketogenic diet is the process of ketosis

Ketone bodies do not form when adequate amounts of carbohydrates are supplied with food (rational nutrition). They are most common when less than 50 g/hour of carbs are provided with the diet or when < 10% of calories per day come from products containing carbs. However, even these tissues during starvation are able to partially switch to other sources of energy of ketone bodies. The formation of ketones leads to ketone acid, which is common in people with undiagnosed diabetes mellitus. The body's ketone levels can be tested in urine and/or blood tests.

5. Ketogenic diet indications and contraindications for use

The ketogenic diet has been used to treat neurodegenerative diseases. The KETOCOMP study by R.J. Sweeney appendix confirmed that the use of ketogenic diets as an adjunct to standard therapy. However, meta-analysis of many clinical studies (X.Y. Studies have shown that 3 months of the Ketogenic diet is sufficient to observe the number of seizures and to select pharmacotherapy individually). However, it is important to note that further studies in higher-density control groups are needed to determine the effectiveness of the dietary diets after a large number of headache attacks have occurred.

6. For example, the benefits of a ketogenic diet:

decreased hunger increased fat intake affects hormones (e. g. cholecystokinin) that weaken the peristalsis of the intestines (the movement of food content) and inhibit hunger, suppressed appetite ketone bodies produced affect the central nervous system (and, more specifically, the center of satiety in the brain), improve tissue sensitivity to insulin, reduce the number of seizures.

7. Examples of deficiencies of the ketogenic diet:

Possible adverse effects on the gut microbiota Reduction in the number of Bifidobacterium bacteria that protect the body from conditions and infection-causing factors, and an increase in the amount of unfavorable Bacteroides bacteria, possible inflammatory bowel conditions and gastrointestinal disorders Diarrhoea, hormonal disorder, increased risk of coronary heart disease, and possible reduction of cholesterol levels (e.g. reducing the risk of heart disease) should be taken into consideration, and should be monitored for the maintenance of a healthy diet, such as reducing cholesterol levels and maintaining a low tolerance for certain diseases such as heart disease.
