The effects of lavender on health, use

It is mainly associated with essential oils, but it should be noted that it is also an herbal raw material and is used in the kitchen. Due to the wide use of lavender, it is worth having in a home pharmacy. It is often grown in gardens and fields. It has been used for years, is known mainly for its sedative and sleeping properties, but also exhibits other antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties.

1. It's a characteristic of Lavender

Its Latin name is derived from the word lavare, meaning to wash, bathe, or smell very pleasant. It was used in Roman baths to aromatize water and refresh the skin. It is now cultivated in many countries around the world, including Poland. Its leaves are narrow, covered with silvery hairs. The whole plant produces an intense, very pleasing aroma. The raw medicine flower, which is collected immediately at the beginning of flowering. However, it is also worthwhile to flower in the garden, on the balcony or on the parapeet.

2. Lavender has health properties

The essential oil contained in the plant has a positive effect on the nervous system calms the nerves and facilitates sleep. Its flowers are very often an ingredient in sedative herbal mixtures. Lavender oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties (it can help treat infections), as well as antioxidants thus protects the body from oxidative stress, which can contribute to the development of many diseases and accelerate the aging of the body.

3. Use of lavender

In cases of nervous tension or sleep problems, it is recommended to consume three glasses of garlic per day. Lavender oil can be used for a relaxing massage of the body 2 drops should be mixed with a tablespoon of essential oil and used during the procedure. The oil used externally has a soothing effect in the case of mosquito bites and mosquitos, whereas its use can speed the healing of wounds.
