Despite numerous studies on the effects of soybeans and soy products on human health, opinions on the consumption of these products are still divided. Some soybean advocates believe that it has a beneficial effect on almost the entire human body. There are also people who categorically discourage soybeant consumption and its products and argue that it is possible that there are negative changes in the body.

1. What is soy milk?

Soybean as a cotton plant belongs to the family of botanical plants. This group also includes lentils, celery, beans, peas, bears. This is a group of plants that is particularly important from a nutritional point of view and because of the role it plays in agriculture. Soybeans provide nutrients such as plant proteins, mineral nutrients, vitamins and fiber. Protein is also a key ingredient. In Poland, the most abundant protein also comes from the seeds (3542%), which is why it is often used in our country as a food source in place of soybean soybeans.

2. The composition of soy milk

Soy milk contains a protein content comparable to that of cow's milk 3.5%. Interestingly, the protein in soybean seeds is slightly different in nutritional value from meat proteins, chicken eggs or cow milk. Soy protein consists mainly of metabolically functioning albumins and soy globulins that serve as a backup in our body. The higher the albumin content, the higher the nutrient value of this product. Among the plants of the soy bean family, the best amino acid content is also found.

3. Soy milk health benefits

Soya milk, as well as soybeans and other soy products, has positive health benefits, including: Due to its very high content of linoleic acid, soy milk has a beneficial effect on the blood lipid profile and lowers the concentration of adverse fractions of cholesterol; due to its high levels of alpha-linolenic acid, soya milk is also recommended for the prevention of cardiovascular disease; ?? Studies have also shown that, inter alia, the phytogens found in soy milk are also beneficial for the reduction of the risk of cancer. In Asian countries, where soy and soy products and their fractions are often disadvantaged, soybean is also rarely used to treat diseases of the bone marrow; ¢ In the case of men, the use of high levels in soybeaning is associated with a significant reduction in the amount of cholesterol in the blood, in women, there is a significant increase in the rate of cholesterol, ¢ in men and women, and in men, it is important to ensure that the level of protein in the soy is not reduced by weight. ¢

4. What is the use of soy milk?

Soy milk can be added to coffee, breakfast cereals, mussels, fruit cocktails, edibles and many others. The use of soy milk as a substitute for cow's milk is recommended mainly for lactose intolerant people. It can also be consumed by vegetarians and vegans as it is a plant-based product that provides full protein and vitamins, thus minimizing the effects of deficiencies.

5. Soy milk is defective

Unfortunately, there are also disadvantages to soy milk consumption. Too much of it can inhibit the use of iodine by the thyroid in people with a lack of this organ. However, there is no significant correlation in a healthy person on a balanced diet. The negative effect of isoflavones in soy milk on the thyroid must also be linked to too little sodium intake with a relatively high intake of anti-nutritive compounds, bowel function (tested in DNA absorption), liver problems, immune system dysfunction.

6. How to make homemade soy milk recipe

The best choice would be to make soy milk yourself at home. Then we will make sure that the milk is fresh, natural and has the highest nutritional value possible. To make the soy drink you need about 0.5 kg of dry soybean seeds and water. First you need to rinse the soy beans thoroughly under cold water, and then you have to dip them in a bowl and pour them in cold water. It is important that the water covers all the seeds, there may be more because the whole grain is soaked in it.
