Pumpkin seed oil properties and uses

It is a well-known snack and food additive, but also a rich source of nutrients. It is also made with pressed oil, which has a number of valuable properties and is readily used in both natural medicine and cooking. It also has a good flavor and aroma, so it can be a valuable addition to a healthy, digestible diet. Foods with it are especially popular in the autumn. They can be made raw or cooked. They are excellent sources of healthy fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

1. Oil from pumpkin seeds characteristic

Its distinctive characteristics are its dark green colour and fruit, slightly nutty flavour and aroma, which distinguishes it from other cold-pressed oils. In pumpkin oil, it is predominantly unsaturated fatty acids (about 80% of the product), including the essential unsaturate fatty acid (NNKT). When choosing a crop, attention should be paid to its freshness and quality of the crop. At the bottom of the bottle, sediment may be collected, but this is a natural phenomenon and does not affect the product's value.

2. The health properties of pumpkin seed oil

However, it is worth noting that the ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids in pumpkin oil is unfavorable (the omega-3 fatty acid ratio is significantly lower). Currently in the sterile vegetable product, omega-3 acids work against hypercholesterolemia by reducing the absorption of LDL cholesterol in the digestive tract and increasing its release. However, they also have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, and they also alleviate the symptoms associated with increased blood glucose levels (the early dose of these omega-3 fats is much lower).
