It's a natural slenderness, which means why you can't get fat

Why, despite a positive calorie-balanced diet, is a person unable to gain weight? How is it possible for such a person to maintain low body weight without strict dietary recommendations? Today, a large part of society is struggling with obesity, but I think everyone knows a person who, despite eating a lot of food, doesn't eat fat.

Table of Contents

1. Is there any natural slimming?

In order to address this problem, body weight should not change over the course of a year, and body fat levels must be within normal range. These behaviours may indicate eating disorders. In women, a normal menstrual rhythm should be maintained. The extent to which a person is motivated to gain weight will affect the number of calories consumed. The problem of weight gain is often described as natural or chronic obesity. In people with natural obesity, no mental problems are observed, such as refusal to eat food, the lack of healthy eating habits (such as eating healthy foods), the absence of hormonal imbalances, and the absences of a problem of metabolism should also be noted.

2. Whether genes could be responsible for natural leanness

It is also worth mentioning that in the early days of human existence, the body sought to obtain a lean figure. An obese person may have been more prone to predatory attack. It can be speculated that lean figure is not the result of natural leanness but that the body is better at regulating body weight. Bailly et al. 2020). Why?

3. Absorbing energy from food

Basolo et al. conducted a study that examined, among other things, the effect of dietary calories on the amount of energy expended along with feces. One participant had about 80 kcal per day, and another about 500 kcal. However, it is worth noting that while differences in fat and feces have been identified, so far the absorption of both protein and carbohydrate in the diet has not been shown (A. Dosić has an interesting theory explaining the occurrence of a natural bubble in the body, which may be related to the difference in energy from food).

4. Does low body weight affect a person's health?

As a result, they are at increased risk of fracture or osteoporosis (M. Low body weight, especially in people who want to get fat, can cause increased feelings of frustration and deterioration in quality of life. Janiszewska et al. 2015). Unfortunately, a low BMI (less than 1820) can also cause bone loss and negatively affect bone quality.

5. Is it possible to gain weight?

On the other hand, if a person is motivated and willing to act, but has no knowledge of healthy eating and calorie intake, it is a good idea to ask for help from an experienced dietitian who will arrange the right diet. First, you need to consider whether the person is actually naturally lean, whether the lack of effects is due to the wrong diet or the unfaithful adherence to established assumptions.
