Isotonic beverages are becoming increasingly popular, most often consumed by physically active people. Isotones are easily available in many stores, and new products are constantly appearing on the market.

1. Is that what isotonics are and why are they used?

Isotonic beverages are specially designed for specific groups of people, which means that they are specifically designed to perform specific functions. They are composed in such a way as to prevent large losses of nutrients in the body. Their task is to supplement the body with water and to provide vitamins and electrolytes. Isotopic beverage is particularly popular among young people. They must also be used by athletes during and after training.

2. Is it even true that isotonic drinks are only for athletes?

There is a belief that isotonic beverages are only for athletes. Although this group is particularly vulnerable to loss of fluids and nutrients, this does not mean that other people should not reach for isotones. Such products will work well during heat. Many compounds are lost along the way, and isotony drinks will allow them to be supplemented, so take them away, for example, for summer trips. However, consuming isotons can prevent dehydration, which is very dangerous for the human body.

3. Is it even an isotonic? How do you make it yourself at home?

Making an isotonic drink at home is not difficult just a few ingredients are enough. It will save money and be more environmentally friendly. The main ingredients of a household isotony should include water, sugar (e.g. in the form of honey or clone syrup) and salt. You can add lemon and orange juice (which are also a source of carbohydrates) or herbs to the taste.

Time of preparation: 10 minutes Ingredients (per 1 litre): undigested water litre, lemon juice 10 tablespoons (60 ml), honey 4 teaspoons (48 g), ?? salt 1⁄4 of a spoon (1.5 g), melt 5 leaves (5 g), ginger 2 plasters (20 g).

Preparation time: 20 minutes Ingredients (per 1 litre): undigested water 3⁄4 litre (750 ml), cucumber 1⁄4 piece (300 g), ?? lemon juice 10 tablespoons (60 ml),?? agave syrup three teaspoons (48 g), salt 1 1⁄4 table (1.5 g), mint 5 leaves (5 g).

6. It's an orange isotonic with a lemon

Time of preparation: 10 minutes Ingredients (per 1 litre): undigested water litre, orange art (300 g), lemon juice 10 tablespoons (60 ml), ?? honey 3 teaspoons (36 g), salt 1⁄4 of a spoon (1.5 g), mint 5 leaves (5 g).

7. Isotonic acid based on green tea

Time of preparation: 30 minutes Ingredients (per 1 litre): green tea litre, lemon juice 10 tablespoons (60 ml), clone syrup 4 tablesps (40 g), salt 1⁄4 of a teaspoon (1.5 g), mint 5 leaves (5 g).
