On the one hand, vegetarianism has many supporters, on the other hand, it is considered a diet that can cause many side effects. What are its main principles and what should a vegetarian pay special attention to? What exactly is vegetarianity? 1. Vegetarian diet of all kinds

The name vegetarianism is derived from the words vegetare, vegetabilis and vegetator. These words mean to grow, grow, and give life. In our country, the vegetarian diet is often called the jar diet. Vegetarians adhere to a philosophy that speaks of excluding from the diet all products from animal slaughter. For this reason, vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, seafood and all other products whose production is associated with the deprivation of vital life.

also known as fruit-lactarianship. Due to the guidelines, this diet is considered to be the least restrictive form of vegetarianism. It excludes from the diet the following products: meat, poultry, fish, seafood. However, it allows the consumer to consume other products of animal origin, i.e. eggs, milk, dairy products and honey. Although the consumption of dairy is allowed, this is a matter of debate.

3. Lacto-vegetarianism

is more restrictive than lacto-vegetarianism because it also excludes eggs, which are a great source of dietary protein. Lactovegetarians must remember not only to eat cooked or fried eggs it is also forbidden to eat cakes, cookies, breads, desserts that contain eggs.

is the complete opposite of dairy vegetarianism. It allows the consumption of eggs, which is why it is absolutely forbidden to consume milk and milk products. This time, too, it is important to read the labels because milk can be hidden under different names. In addition to the three most common vegetarian varieties, there are many other significantly different varieties. Some of them have stricter rules than the ones mentioned above, some allow for more freedom of eating when making food choices.

5. Is it a vegetarian diet at all that we should pay special attention to?

Opponents of vegetarian diets consider that plant-based diets cannot be balanced and instead of providing health benefits, they increase the risk of food deficiencies. Among the most commonly mentioned problems associated with the vegetarian diet are: deficiencies in full-fledged animal protein need to be replaced with products of plant origin such as hops, tofu, legumes, eggs, some diets; calcium deficiency in the diet needs to be supplemented with dietary supplements such as dietary diets, soya beans, soybeans, vegetables and algae. Need to be used in the preparation of vegetable diets to protect the health of females.

And the Polish Institute of Food and Nutrition thus presents its opinion on vegetarianism that Really balanced vegetarian diets (lactovegetarianism and lactoveganism) provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of many diseases (such as obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, some cancers, degenerative conditions, diarrhoea) especially in adults.

7. Roasted potatoes with veal, spinach and mozzarella

Ingredients per serving: 1 medium-sized potato, 1⁄4 can of garlic, 1 garlic tooth, 2 handfuls of spinach, 1⁄2 balls of mozzarella, about 50 g, 50 ml of tomato paste, olive oil, spices: salt, pepper, basil, cumin, oregano.

8. It's a nutritional smoothie with avocado

Ingredients per serving: 1⁄2 avocado, 1 banana, 150 ml of coconut milk, 2 tablespoons of cocoa beans, a handful of spinach. Fruits are washed, harvested from the skin, and mixed into a smooth mass with other ingredients. Smoothie should have an asymmetrical consistency and a delicate cocoa flavor. Every diet should be approached with common sense.
