Is it even coffee, tea, beer that's hydrating?

Water or isotonic drinks are considered to have excellent irrigation properties, whereas caffeinated drinks such as tea and coffee, and alcoholic beverages such as beer, are considered dehydrating.

1. Recommendations for fluid intake

The body loses water constantly, while fluid intake is an episodic activity. Under normal conditions, the mechanisms responsible for homeostasis maintain hydration at a constant level, so severe fluid deficiencies are very rare among the majority of the population. Standard water imbalances normally return to normal after 24 hours.

2. It's an indicator of watering with beverages

In 2016, Professor Maugarious and his colleagues analysed that in this respect, other fluids available on the market, such as water, water and hydrated drinks, have been identified as having the highest efficiency, consistency and nutritional benefits of drinking water and drinking water. In the course of this study, it is possible to distinguish between water and caffeine and other liquids, which have been studied for a very long time.

3. Summary

Selecting the right amount of fluid is a very individual matter. Organizations and scientific societies impose certain guidelines on how much fluid we consume. By observing our body, we can choose the right dose of fluids to suit our needs. Although other liquids have been identified above with equally good or even better irrigation properties than water, it should be remembered that this should be the basis for hydration.
