1. Brussels basic information

In the autumn-winter period, Brussels sprouts are very often found in shops because it is the time of their harvests (M. Brussels, and actually Brussels sprouted cabbage, is a vegetable created by crossing a cucumber with a cabbage.

2. Brussels nutritional value

For comparison, red cabbage contains only 57 mg in 100 g and Peking cabbage 45 mg. Below is the content of selected nutrients in 100 grams of raw cabbage (Food Data Central USDA, fdc.nal.usda.gov/index.html). Among other cabbage plants, it is distinguished by its content of vitamin C (85 mg per 100 g of raw product). In addition, Brussels contains large amounts of other vitamins and minerals, making it a vegetable with a high response density.

3. The health benefits of Brussels sprouts

However, in addition to the above-mentioned antioxidant properties, it also reduces the risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease (M. Ekiert 2015). One study highlighted its preventive effects, particularly against breast, brain, colon, prostate, kidney, and cervical cancer. However, other authors noted its inhibitory effects on breast cancer cells as well (Li. Cheng green vegetables, including chemotherapeutic agents, decrease risk of breast and ovarian cancer, as well as type 2 chemotherapy agents). However, researchers have suggested that it may also increase the rate of growth of these genes, but it is important to note that, in the case of type 2 diabetes and type 2 cancer, it may lead to a significant reduction in the number of metabolic diseases in the body, particularly in the blood, blood, liver, blood and blood.

4. How to make Brussels sprouts properly

The first step in the preparation of Brussels sprouts is to wash them thoroughly. After thorough cleaning, the vegetables should be removed from the surface of the leaves, which are too ripe or badly damaged. This allows for a faster heat treatment. If they are added, for example, to the main dish, they should be cooked. A small amount of salt can be added to the water, which gives Brussels sprout its flavor. If the natural flavor of the sprout is not a problem, it can also be stored in the water for a long time. It can be prepared by adding milk or milk powder to the finished product. It must be prepared in a medium or medium form, and then it must be placed on a thin layer of paper, for instance, in a glass of oil, and it should be added in a special amount of 200 °C.
