You can find it in the health food section of stores, but is it really there? For years, there have been rumors that it should be considered a superfood. Coconut oil is a product that has caused a lot of controversy.

1. Which is coconut oil

It is composed of over 80% saturated fatty acids, mainly lauric acid. For comparison in rapeseed oil, this amount is 25.3 g. The table below shows the nutritional value of coconut oil (Food Data Central USDA, fdc.nal.usda.gov/index.html). It consists of more than 80%, mainly lacric acid. 100 g of the product contains only 1.7 g of WNT. Like all coconuts, coconus oil is a high-calorie product because 100 g contains up to 833 kcal.

2. Coconut oil has its advantages

It has been shown to have high stability even during hourly thermal processing (S. olive oil is much more stable than most saturated fatty acids in coffee, however, it will also have a higher fat stability during heat treatment, and its fat content will be slightly higher than that of monounsaturated fatty acid. It has also been shown that this fat is highly stable, even during the hourly heat treatment process. It is also shown that the fat content of the coffee is significantly lower than the saturated fat content in the case of coffee, but that it will have better stability in people who are struggling with heart disease.

3. Coconut oil is defective

However, special attention was paid to coconut oil and its effect on the cardiovascular system. Eyres et al. 2016). Furthermore, the authors pointed out that it shows no health benefits (F.M. However, particular attention was given to the effect of fats on the heart- and blood vessel system.
